I have been with Mahala’s Hope since we opened the doors to our first client. Here at Mahala’s, my role as a certified peer specialist keeps me close to where I came from and allows me to show the women that life in recovery is a wonderful journey. I am a mother, sponsor, a runner, sponsee, boss, friend, sister, business owner, daughter, and an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. I would not have any of these relationships or interests if I didn’t put my recovery first. I strive to give the women hope that these things are possible to each and every one of them regardless of their past.
Today I live my life loudly with compassion, balance, honesty, and integrity. It’s certainly not just about me guiding them … I am blessed for opportunities to learn from each sister who walks through the doors of Mahala’s Hope.
