I entered my journey of recovery in June of 2014. A few years into recovery, I realized that my passion was helping women navigate their own journey through sobriety. I decided to go back to school to pursue that dream while raising my oldest child and working. I recently graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Leadership from UW Oshkosh and my Substance Abuse Counseling license from Moraine Park. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Social Work from UW Milwaukee.

I love working at Mahala’s Hope because it has truly been my dream ever since I entered recovery: to work with women and help guide them through their own personal recovery process. My own values and beliefs about recovery, healing, and growth align perfectly with everything that Mahala’s Hope stands for. I am grateful for the opportunity to come to work every day in such a beautiful setting to do the job I’ve dreamed of and worked so hard for the past 10 years. We all have a past, but we don’t have to let that past define us. Recovery is possible.

I now have three children ages one, two, and eight. They are the light of my life and I spend the majority of my free time raising them and trying to enjoy each day to its fullest. I love spending time outside, whether its hiking, camping, day trips to the lake, or just playing in the backyard with our dog and kids. Nature is where I find my serenity. I love gardening as well because it help to keep me grounded.

We are so happy to have you on board, Kelli!
