Volunteer
Our sessions could not serve as many clients without the help of our wonderful volunteers. Volunteers assist with moving the horses, maintaining safety during the sessions, and set up/clean up as needed.
Currently, we are in need of:
- Female drivers to transport patients to and from appointments
- Lawn care helper (mowing, weeding, etc.)
- Horse handler

The most rewarding part has been being able to help others with their process. It never ceases to amaze me how much of an impact the program has on the participants.
To me the rewards for working at Mahala’s Hope are greater than the service I do. I enjoy the challenge of helping make the facilities run smoothly and help to keep the repair costs down.
I have learned that taking the focus off ourselves, and serving others even in a small way, can have some very powerful effects on someone else’s life. This volunteer experience has truly taught me that life is all about giving, not gaining.
